Description:GEORGIA AQUARIUM CELEBRATES SECOND ANNUAL HUMAN ABILITIES WEEK
Four-Day Celebration Honoring Human Abilities and Accomplishments

Georgia Aquarium will kick off its second annual Abilities Week, Feb. 3-6, 2010, celebrating the diversity of human accomplishments and abilities. During this four-day event, the Georgia Aquarium will showcase the talent and creativity of special guest performers and speakers with various backgrounds and abilities. Inspiring a sense of understanding and cultural awareness, the celebration will be enjoyed by all guests of the Georgia Aquarium.

Special guests include:
• Local artist Jaehn Clare with a performance of Tail Tell Tale, which follows the road of recovery for a woman who survived a life-altering injury
• The Georgia Academy for the Blind choir and wrestling team
• Georgia School for the Deaf DeSign choir
• Briarlake Elementary Signing choir
• The Georgia Blazers Basketball team
• Dancer George Velazquez, a professional ballroom dancer and author of the upcoming screenplay Dancing Out of the Dark
• Live performance by Macon’s music ambassador, Joey Stuckey, a blind musician with an insightful vision

Join the Georgia Aquarium’s dive team, the largest Handicap Scuba Association (HAS) certified team, as they continue to serve as a leader in ability awareness and accessibility. During this week-long celebration, the Aquarium will also offer a variety of staffing and operational additions to ensure guests of all abilities enjoy their visit.
